Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the Katherine West Health Board financial management system
  • Leading the development and refinement of financial systems, processes, and procedures
  • Managing end-to-end operations of the finance team, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, allowances, and reconciliation
  • Ensuring timely and accurate reporting and compliance across a diverse range of funded program activities
  • Preparing insightful monthly reports and financial analyses
  • Partnering with program managers to connect operational activity to financial performance
  • Leading the annual budgeting process and tracking program-level expenditure
  • Overseeing end-of-year audits and financial preparation
  • Guiding the rollout of an integrated finance and HR system
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management and proven team leadership
  • CA or CPA accreditation highly desirable
  • A background in not-for-profit, NGO, or complex program funding environments
  • Comfort navigating multiple funding streams and reporting requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate numbers into operational insight
  • Experience leading system/process improvement and rolling out new platforms
  • Confidence working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders at all levels
