The starting annual salary is negotiable, ranging from $82,622 to $90,226 per year, based on experience, plus superannuation and access to generous salary packaging options.

About the Role

">

This Key Worker role will involve engaging with and supporting young parents to help them identify the services they need to address their individual challenges. This will include services provided within the Hybrid Child and Family Hub, as well as external services such as domestic violence, housing and financial support.

The Key Worker will work closely with Child and Family Health Nurses to screen families for health and developmental needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Manage a caseload of young parents who require a coordinated approach to accessing and engaging with services and supports.">
  • Deliver services that are built on evidence-based frameworks, approaches and models.">
  • Provide a tiered support response to young parents and their children based on their needs, including information, advice, comprehensive assessment, case planning, service coordination and navigation.">
  • Utilise a range of client engagement approaches that are flexible and responsive to need.">
  • Provide planning support and structure for the safety of children and young parents.">
  • Internal and external stakeholder engagement.">
  • Maintain up-to-date client records and administration processes.">
  • Be available to provide services to children, young people and their families at flexible times and in locations most suitable to their needs.">

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A minimum Diploma in Social Work, Youth Work, Community Services or related field with relevant work experience.">
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.">
  • Experience working with and understanding of the challenges faced by young parents experiencing vulnerabilities.">
  • Demonstrated understanding of child protection issues.">
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver culturally appropriate casework services to First Nations and CALD families.">
  • A current NSW Driver's license and NSW Working With Children Check.">
