Children and Young People Support Specialist
About the Role:This position is focused on providing high-quality support to children and young people who have experienced significant adversity.
The successful candidate will provide a safe and secure environment, allowing young people to thrive and achieve their goals.
Main Responsibilities:- Support young people as they transition into and out of care
- Help young people develop essential living skills and work towards case plan goals
- Be an advocate for the young person, promoting their best interests at all times
- Manage complex behaviors and challenging situations according to the individual's behavior management plan
- A current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment
- A current National Criminal History Check Certificate
- A First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one
- A valid driver's license and roadworthy vehicle
- An undergraduate degree in Social Work, Youth Work, or a related field, or substantial industry experience
