Junior Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Junior Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our community mental health service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to young people with emerging mental disorders.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing evidence-based psychological interventions, conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, and developing treatment plans. You will also work closely with young people and their families to build strong therapeutic alliances and support them throughout their journey towards recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert psychological interventions for emerging mental disorders, including early psychosis.
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress.
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH YOUNG PEOPLE AND FAMILIES TO SUPPORT THEIR RECOVERY.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement care that is tailored to each individual's needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with current guidelines and standards in clinical practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A relevant qualification in social work, occupational therapy, nursing, or psychology, with current registration.
  • Experience working with young people with emerging mental disorders, including early psychosis.
  • Experience in a community mental health setting.
  • Proven ability to provide evidence-based psychological interventions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A current driver's license or willingness to travel as required.
