Job Description

The Principal Cybersecurity Engineer plays a pivotal role in safeguarding an organization's technical security capabilities, ensuring the resilience and security of systems, services, and critical resources. This position requires effective management and implementation of processes and technical safeguards to guarantee the delivery of critical infrastructure services.

To achieve this goal, the Principal Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for testing, implementing, deploying, maintaining, reviewing, and administering the infrastructure hardware, software, and documentation necessary to effectively manage cybersecurity resources utilized to achieve cybersecurity goals.

This role involves working closely with leaders, architects, and other engineers across the organization to implement strategic plans and policies that align with organizational objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Formal Education: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Experience & Training: Five (5) years of information security experience; Five (5) years of IT-related experience; Experience working in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+, ITIL Foundation, ISC2 CCSP or SSCP.
  • Certifications Preferred: ISC2 CISSP, GIAC Certifications, CompTIA CASP.
