Job Overview

This position involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for designing complex industrial and building control systems.

The successful candidate will serve on a project leadership team supporting our national Control Systems practice, under the direction of a Senior Specialist/Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and specify process instrumentation, control panels, and network equipment to meet client requirements.
  • Produce accurate and detailed control system construction documents, ensuring timely delivery to clients.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams to develop comprehensive control system construction documents.
  • Design and develop Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications to support complex industrial processes.
  • Participate in design review meetings with clients to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
  • Review supplier submittals, respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), and conduct field observations to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain relationships with clients and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings to promote company services and products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in building automation, specifically Data Center or Healthcare experience is highly valued.
  • Industrial process control experience is also highly valued.
  • OT Network design experience for industrial control and building management systems is desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity considerations for control systems is an asset.
  • Proficiency in PLC/DCS/DDC programming or SCADA HMI configuration is highly valued.
