Job Title: Information Security ArchitectIT professionals with a knack for security will excel in this role. Job Summary:

The Information Security Architect plays a critical part in maintaining the secure operation of telecommunications and network hardware and software components. This individual coordinates the implementation of security programs across IT platforms, applies IT concepts and principles to devise solutions to complex IT issues, and oversees the Enterprise continuous monitoring vulnerability management program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain highly varied telecommunications/network hardware and software components in a secure environment while supporting business processes.
  • Make technical judgments regarding system compliance in both technical and non-technical security features, system features, and other safeguards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and advise stakeholders on potential threats and vulnerabilities to the system.
  • Manage the Enterprise continuous monitoring vulnerability management program, including vendor vulnerabilities and Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGS).
  • Perform vulnerability management scanning and compliance validation.
  • Plan, develop, and implement procedures for reporting and investigating violations and non-compliance breakdowns in IT security safeguards.
Requirements:

Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access.

Appointment is subject to completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.

Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): Exempt.

Qualifications:

  • One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position.
  • Coordinates the implementation of security programs across IT platforms.
  • Applies IT concepts, principles, methods, and practices sufficient to devise solutions on a broad range of IT issues.
  • Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
  • Customer Service - Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations.
  • Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively.
