Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the security and resilience of network infrastructure by managing, configuring and optimizing Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Design, implement and review AWS security groups to ensure secure and compliant cloud architecture.
  • Conduct proactive threat monitoring and review security alerts to identify potential threats and escalate or remediate as needed.
  • Troubleshoot complex network and security issues independently, providing clear resolutions and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement secure network architectures.
  • Perform ongoing research into emerging threats, vulnerabilities and security best practices.

This role requires a highly skilled security professional who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have excellent troubleshooting and research skills, be able to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in security engineering.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (design, implementation and management required).
  • Strong knowledge of AWS security concepts including security groups, IAM and cloud networking.
  • Experience with security alerting and monitoring tools such as Splunk, SentinelOne and Zscaler.
