
State Customer Business Growth Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of State Customer Manager, focusing on delivering financial objectives and business development opportunities for FMCG product categories.
This is a field sales position based out of West Richmond, with responsibilities including developing commercial business relationships, conducting range reviews, filling distribution gaps, and leading profitable new business initiatives.
- Develop and lead joint business plan category growth initiatives with customers.
- Review in-year plans and financial metrics with customers, prioritizing requirements based on risks and opportunities.
- Leverage shopper insights to drive category thinking with customers.
- Manage new product launches, driving category review outcomes and POG updates.
- Create and execute customer seasonal sales drivers to deliver incremental gross profit and volume.
- Drive closing distribution gaps and forward planning, including effective promotional programs.
To succeed in this role, applicants should possess:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in sales customer management (preferably FMCG).
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships internally and externally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience in selling technical and leadership competencies, such as closing range gaps, upselling, and promotional programs.
