Support Care Assistant Job

We are seeking a skilled Support Care Assistant to join our team in a residential care home.

The successful candidate will work 36 hours per week on a rota basis, including weekends, supporting individuals aged 18-65 with learning disabilities, challenging behaviors, and other medical conditions.

This is a role that requires experience in the sector, preferably with an NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care. The successful candidate will undergo an induction, shadowing existing staff, and complete mandatory training.

An enhanced DBS check will be arranged by the employer. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care and support
  • Assisting with medication administration
  • Completing domestic tasks within the home
  • Cleaning, laundry, and ironing
  • Preparing meals
  • Recording daily reports and paperwork
  • Attending staff meetings
  • Supporting residents in the community
  • Accompanying residents to healthcare appointments
  • Participating in activities within and outside the home
