Job Role

We are seeking a skilled Allied Health Therapy Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team at Hunters Hill Campus. As an integral part of our inter-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing support and contributing to the delivery of quality care on a holistic level.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct small group exercise classes in consultation with the Physiotherapist, fostering a collaborative approach to patient care.
  • Monitor changes in consumers' conditions that affect their health, comfort, safety, and wellbeing program performance, ensuring timely reporting and effective communication.
  • Utilise your background working within allied health and rehabilitation to contribute and support lead allied health professionals within the department.
Essential Criteria
  • Experience working within Aged Care or an acute hospital setting within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Effective teamwork and adept interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading exercise classes.
  • Ability to work in both a fast-paced environment while maintaining accurate documentation skills relevant to an Aged Care, care planning setting.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to form strong rapport and relationships with consumers and staff.
  • Display high initiative and pride in supporting the team and consumers we look after.
  • Mental Health and Dementia awareness.
  • Minimum of a Certificate III in Aged Care.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate.

You will be a team player with strong clinical capabilities, able to demonstrate initiative, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have a genuine passion for working within the aged care sector.
