Role Overview

The Deckhand is a key member of our vessel's crew, responsible for maintaining and operating the boat while ensuring exceptional customer service.

This role involves working closely with the Master and crew to prepare the vessel for cruises, assisting with food and beverage service, and ensuring guest safety.

A successful candidate will possess strong on-vessel experience in the tourism or hospitality industry, along with relevant qualifications such as General Purpose Hand (GPH) or Elements of Shipboard Safety (ESS).

Additional requirements include a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) qualification, First Aid certification, and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and operate the vessel to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Assist with food and beverage service to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Ensure guest safety at all times
  • Perform daily cleaning duties to maintain a high standard of cleanliness

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong on-vessel Deckhand experience in the Tourism or Hospitality industry
  • General Purpose Hand (GPH) or Elements of Shipboard Safety (ESS) qualifications
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) qualification
  • First Aid qualification
