Key Fleet Operations Manager Position

  • Oversee daily maintenance and repair activities for optimal fleet performance and safety, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective preventive maintenance strategies for all vehicles and equipment, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
  • Supervise a team of skilled mechanics, technicians, and support staff to achieve high productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Coordinate procurement efforts to source quality parts, tools, and supplies while maintaining cost efficiency and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics, maintenance costs, and downtime to identify areas for improvement and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies related to fleet operations, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and inventory, utilizing fleet management software and tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with logistics, operations, and dispatch teams to minimize vehicle downtime and maximize fleet availability, streamlining processes and improving overall efficiency.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for recurring mechanical issues, implementing corrective actions and ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on fleet status, maintenance KPIs, and operational performance to senior management, fostering transparency and driving informed decision-making.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in fleet management or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise, train, and motivate technical teams, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Solid understanding of vehicle mechanics, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance best practices, staying up-to-date with industry developments and advancements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and achieving operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation, promoting fiscal responsibility and accountability.

  • Proficient in using fleet management software and tracking systems, with a strong understanding of data analysis and reporting.
