Ambitious Customer Service Lead
About the Role:We are seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to lead our team in Newcastle. As a key leader, you will be responsible for motivating and leading a frontline team, promoting community and customer engagement, and delivering safe and efficient customer service and train operations.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in Newcastle's thriving transport scene. You will have the chance to focus on people leadership and engagement in a complex customer-focused operational environment.
As a strong people leader, you will foster a culture of accountability and performance within your team and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including community representatives and NSW TrainLink teams.
You will be responsible for:
- Motivating and leading a frontline team to ensure safe and efficient customer service and train operations
- Promoting and delivering increased community and customer engagement
- Leading the operation and delivery of a strategic multimodal transport hub/interchange and stations focusing on customer service delivery
- Leading key relationships with internal and external operational and strategic partners and stakeholders
- Actively promoting and implementing change and facilitating team contribution to risk management, cost management, and seasonal/special event activities
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and management experience across diverse teams in a complex customer service and safety-critical environment
- Experience in supporting transformational change and making difficult decisions in the interest of customers
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence multiple stakeholders
- Genuine interest in the success of the team and the community of Newcastle
