Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Project Engineer to lead our NBN upgrade project in Canberra. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, forecasting, and managing the Program of Works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers to ensure timely delivery and optimal profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Area Supervisor to plan and deliver the full design and construction program.
  • Evaluate workforce, safety, quality, and scheduling needs to meet organizational objectives.
  • Manage traffic plans, council approvals, and LAAN access notices to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Analyze variations and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
  • Oversee construction dashboards, trackers, and completion artefacts to monitor progress.
  • Coordinate stock orders and manage construction changes to minimize disruptions.
  • Support financial forecasting, budget tracking, and reconciliation to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Analyze KPIs and develop improvement initiatives to enhance overall performance.

About You

  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or related field) is desirable.
  • You should possess strong leadership, financial, and commercial acumen to drive project success.
  • Prior experience on NBN projects is essential to navigate complex project requirements.
