Transform the NBN upgrade project in Canberra with your skills and expertise. As a key contributor, you will support the project team and play a crucial role in the successful execution of the National Broadband Network.

About the Role

This position requires a Site Engineer to monitor construction progress, reporting any delays or issues to senior engineers. You will be responsible for managing and reconciling the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on construction progress, as well as assisting in final contract sum reconciliation with project engineers.

  • Monitor construction progress, identify potential delays, and report to senior engineers.
  • Manage BOQ revisions and ensure alignment with Contract Works Plans (CWPs) and Construction Reports.
  • Assist in final contract sum reconciliation with project engineers.
  • Track and report construction variations.
  • Verify BOQ revisions align with CWPs and Construction Reports.
  • Deliver completion artefacts and close CARs and defects in a timely manner.
  • Identify field issue trends and communicate them to Project Engineers.
  • Participate in Lessons Learnt and Innovation workshops.
  • Prepare material orders and manage material issuance and reconciliation.
Your Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in NBN or Telco projects is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction and cost management principles.
  • Familiarity with project environments and meeting client deadlines.
