About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic individual to contribute to the management and enhancement of our business-winning strategies and tender submissions. As a key player in our governance framework, you will oversee and manage the development and submission of major bids, aligning closely with our strategic objectives of sustainment and growth.

You will coordinate and implement robust governance measures, ensuring seamless bid activity across the enterprise. Your expertise will be instrumental in producing compelling artefacts in response to both tendered and unsolicited proposals, showcasing the excellence of Babcock Australasia.

Your strategic insight will drive the planning, development, and execution of initiatives aimed at fortifying our business-winning governance framework. You'll spearhead efforts to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, always in alignment with our group objectives.

Additionally, you will support a comprehensive 24-month bid schedule, strategically allocating resources to support bid activities from the delivery units and supporting functions. Your meticulous preparation of bid plans will pave the way for flawless execution, ensuring critical success factors such as budget and governance adherence, adherence to schedule, and uncompromising quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Australian Citizenship with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain).
  • Tertiary qualifications in a technical discipline, business, commercial, legal and/or project management.
  • Previous experience within Defence or other high-risk industries.
  • Subject matter expertise in capability lifecycle management frameworks and the Australian Standard for Defence Contracting as they relate to strategic materiel, complex materiel and support.
  • Extensive experience in strategy, business development, capture management, business winning, engineering and/or project management.
