As a permanent part-time Recreational Services Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

We are committed to providing care with compassion, respect and integrity to promote the health, independence and social interaction of seniors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with Activity Design and Delivery: Assist with the design, delivery and monitoring of group and individual recreational activities to ensure they meet the needs and interests of our residents.
  • Activity Coordination: Coordinate activities and therapies as directed by the Lifestyle Coordinator, ensuring seamless delivery and maximum resident engagement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all recreational activities and therapies comply with relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards, maintaining high standards of governance and compliance.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of activities and therapies according to Aged Care legislation requirements, supporting effective service delivery and evaluation.
  • Community Engagement: Facilitate community engagement opportunities for residents, promoting social interaction and a sense of belonging.

Requirements:

  • Certificate 3 or 4 in Leisure & Lifestyle/Divisional Therapy: Hold a relevant qualification from a registered trade organisation (preferably), with demonstrated experience in an Aged Care environment.
  • Strong Organisational Skills: Possess highly organised and effective task management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite, with current COVID and Annual Flu Vaccination (mandatory).
