Position Overview:
The Operational Support Specialist will oversee daily operational activities, ensuring the smooth execution of the settlement process, managing operational risks, and contributing to the Operations team at moomoo. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising daily securities settlement and remittance functions, including foreign exchange and stock/option settlements to guarantee precise and timely execution of all directives.
- Facilitating the transfer of client shares.
- Administering Corporate Actions on both domestic and international levels.
- Proactively monitoring operational and risk metrics, escalating potential issues or discrepancies as necessary.
- Collaborating with customer service and marketing teams to improve client experiences.
- Effectively managing liquidity and minimizing risks in partnership with the finance department.
- Identifying and executing initiatives aimed at refining operational processes and mitigating risks.
- Working closely with compliance teams to uphold a strong Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) program.
- Testing controls to ensure clients receive superior execution quality with trading venues.
- Developing, reviewing, and enhancing operational procedures and workflows in response to regulatory changes and evolving business conditions.
- Conducting daily reconciliations of client, exchange, broker trades, options, and positions, alongside preparing daily funding requirements.
- Engaging with clients and counterparties to resolve settlement issues and discrepancies.
- Actively participating in projects and implementing enhancements to business systems.
- Planning and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for systems.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in Operations, Settlement, or Remittance within financial or brokerage firms, or in a cryptocurrency context is highly preferred;
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields;
- Comprehensive understanding of the relevant regulations set forth by ASIC and AUSTRAC;
- Self-driven, with strong analytical skills and the ability to perform under pressure;
- Exceptional presentation and problem-solving abilities;
- Proficient in written and spoken English; knowledge of Chinese is an advantage;
- Skilled in Excel, Access, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
