Operational Risk Management Specialist

Job Description:

The Operational Risk Management Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective governance and oversight of key business analysis within the organization. This involves providing central hub functions for demonstrating adequate oversight and compliance with corporate policies across various business areas.


Responsibilities:
  • Review and document internal processes and controls to ensure adequate oversight and compliance with corporate policy within the 1st Line of Defence.
  • Adopt a structured and investigative approach to workload, presenting information clearly and comprehensively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Work alongside Senior Management (Business & Infrastructure Heads) to identify and document gaps/enhancements in the current control environment and mature Conduct and Culture framework.

Requirements:
  • Leverage risk management frameworks to enhance MI effectiveness and demonstrate Risk & Control responsibilities through dashboards, reporting, and operational risk management tools.
  • Identify, track, and monitor actions relevant to key control gaps and remediation.
  • Assist Compliance and Group/Regional Risk Management in managing LOD responsibilities and coordinating root-cause analysis of risk events.

  • Impact assessment skills paired with an analytical/agile mindset, aggregating information and reporting in a timely manner.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and responsive mind-set, with experience in auditing, risk management, and/or control/compliance testing preferred.
