Sales Development Manager

About the Role:
Hanson Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a strategic-minded Sales Development Manager to drive new business and maintain existing customer relationships within the South Australian market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities and customers to drive new business growth.
- Maintain a share of wallet pipeline with existing customers to ensure long-term revenue streams.
- Identify strategic and key business opportunities within the market to capitalize on emerging trends.
- Implement sales processes and management cycles for the specified territory or portfolio, including engaging with key stakeholders and industry influencers.
- Network with key supplier outlets, such as developers, construction companies, and industry bodies, to stay informed about market developments.
- Collaborate with and guide the Territory Sales team members on respective customers and opportunities.
- Maintain involvement with industry bodies to monitor industry trends and provide information to prospective and existing customers.
- Achieve territory and/or portfolio targets through the implementation of specific customer, brand, segment, and product strategies.
- Ensure that each new deal includes clear explanations of escalation points, surcharges, and business rules to set teammates up for future success.
About You:
- Excellent communication skills with people at all levels internally and externally.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and commercial skills, including contract negotiations.
- Ability to construct and deliver a deal with a cross-section of different customers through effective presentation skills.
- Understanding of complex selling, call cycles, sales processes, management cycles, and sales methodology.
- Good critical thinking skills to synthesize competing insights and data.
- Able to identify changing market direction, trends, commercial changes, and pivot to adjust market strategy to support overall regional goals.
- Possesses strong strategic, commercial, and entrepreneurial thinking skills.
- Performance bias with a competitive nature and sense of urgency, but not at the expense of the team or individuals. Team player.
- Personable, inclusive, and can demonstrate individual leadership.
