Senior Legal Counsel Role Overview

This key position will provide expert legal guidance and support to our advisory legal function and daily operations across Australia and New Zealand.

  • Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of commercial matters and complex projects.
  • Draft and negotiate diverse commercial agreements for real estate services.
  • Advise management on legal matters and risk mitigation, aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Support business growth, including navigating new and evolving regulations.
  • Collaborate to improve legal processes for enhanced risk management.
  • Monitor legal developments and proactively manage associated risks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Litigation and Compliance) to ensure effective legal management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor other lawyers in the team, provide leadership in allocating work, training and development, coaching, as well as measuring, appraising and rewarding performance.
  • A Bachelor of Laws degree with demonstrable experience.
  • A current New South Wales (or equivalent) Practising Certificate.
  • At least 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in a full-service law firm or in-house role.
  • Proven experience in a commercial setting, with strong negotiation skills.
