Commercial Lawyer

As a commercial lawyer, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice to our businesses on a range of matters including corporate governance, contract drafting and negotiation, and insurance product advice.
You will have a strong understanding of the commercial environment of the general insurance market and be able to provide pragmatic and commercial solutions to complex problems.
We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in a mid or top-tier firm, with a strong background in providing commercial legal advice. You will also have highly developed stakeholder and people management skills, as well as a high level of written and spoken language skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide corporate legal, commercial and governance advice to all of our businesses
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts
- Advise on insurance products and documentation
- Support senior lawyers, the General Counsel & Office of the CEO
- Tertiary qualifications (LLB or equivalent)
- Current NSW (or other Australian State) Legal Practitioner Practising Certificate – mandatory
- Minimum 3 years' post qualification experience in a mid or top-tier firm
- Private practice experience in providing commercial legal advice
