Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for Industrial Projects

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team in Melbourne. As a key member of our global team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality mechanical engineering designs for industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough reviews of project mechanical drawings to ensure compliance with design intent and project requirements.
- Perform and review engineering designs, including calculations and design development, to achieve accurate and proficient results.
- Interpret engineering drawings, documents, specifications, and scopes to identify and address any discrepancies or variations.
- Liaise with the drafting team to provide professional support and guidance on drawing deliverables.
- Develop technical documentation, including scopes of work and specifications, using relevant industry standards and guidelines.
- Review certified vendor documentation and disseminate information to relevant personnel for interface checking.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest industry developments, codes, and standards related to mechanical engineering.
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution.
- At least 8 years of post-graduate experience working in the industrial processes industry or on similar capital projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail and knowledge of mechanical process optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve consistently high standards within budgetary and schedule constraints.
- Proficient understanding of business acumen and ability to adapt to different business environments.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks accurately.
