About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing accurate and proficient design outputs that meet project requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct timely reviews of project mechanical drawings to ensure compliance with design intent.
- Perform and review engineering designs, including calculations and development.
- Interpret engineering drawings, documents, specifications, and scopes.
- Identify scope variations and prepare relevant documentation accordingly.
- Liaise with the drafting team to provide professional support in preparing drawing deliverables.
- Develop technical documentation, including scopes of work and specifications, using industry standards and guidelines.
- Review certified vendor documentation and disseminate information to relevant personnel for interface checking.
- Maintain knowledge of industry developments, codes, standards, and related engineering matters.
- Support team members as needed to ensure project deliverables are met.
Requirements:
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- 8+ years of post-graduate experience in industrial processes or similar capital projects.
- Excellent attention to detail and knowledge of mechanical process optimization.
- Able to achieve high standards within budgetary and schedule constraints.
- Proficient understanding of business acumen and adaptability to different business environments.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks accurately and professionally.
Estimated Salary Range:$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
