About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Playgroup Facilitator to join our team at Community Programs. As a key member of our Community Programs team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality playgroups and supports to families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with children and families to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement playgroup programs that meet the needs of families and promote early childhood development.
  • Model effective early childhood practice and provide support and guidance to families on early childhood development.
  • Work closely with families to identify and respond to their needs, and provide support and resources to help them achieve their goals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the safety and well-being of children and families.
Requirements
  • Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and contribute to the development and implementation of programs and services.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS).
  • Experience working with children and families in a community-based setting, preferably in an early childhood education and care environment.
  • Valid Working with Children Check and First Aid and CPR certification.
