Job Title: Senior Strategic Advisor

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join our team as a Senior Strategic Advisor. This is a key role that will play a pivotal part in shaping our organisation's future direction.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of long-range strategy, delivering enterprise reporting, integrating performance intelligence, and providing robust advice to guide decision-making. They will bring together strategic foresight, planning, engagement, and enterprise reporting into a consolidated capability that supports senior leaders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the development and integration of our long-range enterprise strategy and planning frameworks\
• Delivery high-quality internal and external reporting, including the Corporate Plan\
• Interpreting complex data and policy signals and providing system-level advice to guide agency positioning\
• Offering authoritative guidance on economic trends and the feasibility and implications of strategic directions\
• Developing insights to inform strategic messaging and support the communication of our vision and outcomes\
• Establishing and continuously improving enterprise performance measurement and evaluation frameworks\
• Providing strategic foresight through scenario modelling and risk-informed planning\
• Stewarding our insight ecosystem – connecting data holders, surfacing strategic questions, and reducing duplication\
• Collaborating with internal teams and the academic community to publish research that contributes to policy debate and establishes us as a thought leader in regulation and financial services\
• Partnering with agencies to ensure we are positioned to respond to and influence national policy agendas\
• Representing us in external forums and participating in relevant communities of practice to ensure we remain informed of best practices in data analytics and economic modelling\
• Building strategic capability across the organisation by modelling analytical rigour, collaboration, and clear direction\
• Leading a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team with a shared commitment to integrity, evidence-based decision-making, and public service outcomes\
• Travel will be a requirement for this role\
• Qualifications and experience include:\
  • \
  • Post-graduate qualifications in economics, strategy, data science, business administration or a related field\
  • Demonstrated experience in public sector strategy, performance reporting, or regulatory reform\
  • High-level critical thinking and policy modelling capabilities\
  • Strong track record in senior stakeholder engagement and executive advising\
  • Demonstrated established credibility in both domestic and international forums\
  • Proven capability to lead and integrate cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-trust environments\
