Strategic Policy Advisor Role

As a key member of our team, you will provide high-level policy advice and lead strategic allied health workforce projects and initiatives aligned with the Department of Health Strategic Priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate policy briefings: Prepare detailed reports and briefings for senior executives on allied health policy, workforce, legislative, regulatory, and clinical governance issues.
  2. Support project delivery: Administer, coordinate, research, and prepare comprehensive reports for multiple projects related to allied health strategy and policy.
  3. Offer executive support services: Provide expert secretariat support to the Chief Allied Health Officer and Deputy Chief Allied Health Advisor, including committee coordination.
Requirements:
  • Policy and project management expertise: Demonstrate effective output management and coordination skills in demanding environments.
  • Project administration skills: Apply principles to administer and coordinate projects efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills: Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Administrative support skills: Provide professional secretarial and administrative support to senior executives.
  • Critical thinking and analysis skills: Exhibit critical thinking, research, and analytical skills to inform decision-making.
  • Technical proficiency: Be proficient with various IT systems and software, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
