ICT Procurement Leadership Role

The ICT Procurement Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, government decision-making, and policy frameworks to drive business growth through efficient procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of procurement documents, including approval documents, requests for quotes, evaluation reports, work orders, and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Leading and managing procurement processes, including ICT assets, systems integration providers, and services consulting to maximize value and minimize risk.
  • Developing and managing supplier contracts and resolving problems using vendor and procurement management expertise to build strong relationships and drive business outcomes.
  • Conducting ICT vendor management in accordance with government procurement legislation and organizational policies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Preparing procurement documentation, undertaking sourcing strategies, and supporting evaluation and client contract negotiations to secure the best deals.
  • Analyzing cloud spending, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing cost optimization strategies to improve financial performance.
  • Engaging with stakeholders and maintaining excellent communication skills to build trust and drive results.
  • Understanding the commercial IT environment to stay ahead of industry trends and make informed decisions.
  • Maintaining a minimum NV1 security clearance and satisfying a Nuclear Mindset Suitability Assessment (NMSA) to ensure compliance and confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in government procurement (Commonwealth), specifically in preparing and reviewing procurement documents.
  • Proven experience leading and managing procurement processes, including ICT assets, systems integration providers, and services consulting.
  • Experience in developing and managing supplier contracts and resolving problems using vendor and procurement management expertise.
  • Knowledge and experience of government procurement legislation and organizational policies to conduct ICT vendor management.
  • Ability to prepare procurement documentation, undertake sourcing strategies, and support evaluation and client contract negotiations.
  • Experience in analyzing cloud spending, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing cost optimization strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Understanding of the commercial IT environment.
  • Must hold and maintain a minimum NV1 security clearance and satisfy a Nuclear Mindset Suitability Assessment (NMSA).
