Animal Care Specialist

The Animal Care Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards of animal care at our veterinary hospital. They work closely with veterinarians and nurses to ensure animal hygiene standards are maintained.

Duties:

  • Provide animal husbandry services, including walking patients, environmental enrichment, and nutritional support
  • Assist veterinarians and nurses with patient treatment
  • Maintain animal housing facilities and equipment
  • Restock veterinary supplies
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks

Requirements:

  • Certificate II in Animal Studies or equivalent qualification
  • At least one year of experience working with animals
  • Understanding of animal behavior and welfare
  • Able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Willingness to follow established protocols and procedures
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation

Working Conditions:

The Veterinary Hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including public holidays. A range of shifts are available across the week.
