Animal Care Professional

We are seeking an experienced animal care professional to provide daily care and attention to the animals in our shelter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing a safe and comfortable environment for the animals
- Administering medication and providing basic first aid as required
- Maintaining accurate records of animal observations and activities
- Assisting with animal enrichment programs and training sessions
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve optimal animal welfare and shelter operations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certificate or degree in animal studies or related field an asset
- Minimum 2 years experience working with animals in a shelter or similar environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
