Major Resources Project Safety Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join a major resources project in WA. The role involves providing specialist health and safety leadership and support across the project, ensuring compliance with relevant systems, legislation, and site standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide mentorship, coaching, and safety guidance across project teams and contractors
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to improve safety outcomes
- Lead risk management activities, including hazard identification and risk reviews
- Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training to ensure a proactive safety culture
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety performance reporting to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure emergency preparedness and coordinate drills across sites
- Engage stakeholders to promote safe behaviours and positive safety outcomes
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in health & safety roles within mining, resources, or construction
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence behaviours at all levels
- Proven experience managing contractors and supporting site-based operations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Diploma in Occupational/Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
- White Card & Advanced First Aid certification
- Desirable: Experience with tier-one resources projects, Lead Auditor or ICAM Lead Investigator qualifications
- A long-term project opportunity with flexible working arrangements
