Job Title: Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee all despatch operations at our Geelong Wire Mill and coordinate our interstate warehousing and logistics functions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and motivating the despatch team through expertise and action, identifying process and safety improvement opportunities, building and maintaining excellent customer relationships, conducting audits, stocktakes and training in relation to warehouse processes and procedures, coordinating duties and activities of crew members to implement despatch plans in adherence to despatch schedules, and performing load checks and auditing of loads and load restraint.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Proven supervisor/leader experience in transport, distribution or logistics
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the transport industry or warehousing
  • Understanding of capacity planning, schedule adherence and DIFOT management
  • Advanced stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills
  • High focus on team development, engagement and involvement
  • Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, including load restraint, mass and fatigue management, etc.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management concepts
  • Experience in SAP
  • Effective influencing and conflict resolution skills
