Production Specialist RoleWe are seeking a Production Specialist to join our Asset Management team at our Geelong Refinery. This is a challenging opportunity for an individual who can demonstrate expertise in production operations and maintenance.

This role requires the ability to ensure operational and asset risks are appropriately assessed, ensuring critical safety processes and protocols are applied. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide assurance associated with critical safety processes and procedures, as well as manage Operational resources to support the delivery of various Projects and Maintenance activities within the Asset.

Safety Leadership:
  • Actively encourage and promote a culture where HSSE is the number one priority for employees and contractors.
  • Ensure that operational and asset risks are appropriately assessed.
  • Apply technical skills to troubleshoot operational problems and investigate process plant incidents.
Operations:
  • Plan and execute all operational activities that support broader asset management strategies – i.e. maintenance, projects, and turnaround events.
  • Review alarm rates regularly and identify bad actors that require remediation.
  • Maintain oversight of process chemical stocks and consumption, ensuring availability when required.
Asset Management:
  • Support the development and management of Asset Capital and Operational Budgets to support Safety, Production, Reliability, Efficiency and Environmental performance.
  • Collaboration and Problem Solving: Coordinate and collaborate with teams across the refinery to address challenges and implement improvements.
