Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tutorial assistance through the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Program (ITAP).
  • Mentor Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, guiding their academic progress and fostering a supportive community.
  • Offer personalized academic support to students from diverse backgrounds studying STEPS, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses across various disciplines.
Requirements
  • A relevant qualification at the level of instruction (minimum bachelor's degree for Bachelor-level coursework).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and societies, along with effective communication skills.
  • Current holder or eligible to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Positive Notice) to comply with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 for regulated employment in education and care services.
