About the role:
As a Mentor in our WFA team in Rockhampton, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of individuals seeking sustainable employment. You will work one-on-one with customers to identify their strengths, remove barriers, and guide them through tailored action plans toward becoming job ready.
This is a dynamic role that blends relationship building, problem-solving, and goal setting, while also fostering strong connections with employers, community organisations, and industry partners to create meaningful employment opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
- Build strong, trusting relationships with customers to provide guidance, motivation and mentoring throughout their employment journey
- Identify customer goals, strengths and challenges, and create targeted action plans to achieve sustainable employment outcomes
- Conduct assessments to determine readiness for employment and identify training or support needs
- Collaborate with employers, community organisations, and industry partners to create and maintain opportunities for employment
- Maintain accurate and compliant records in line with contractual and organisational requirements
- Manage your portfolio effectively to meet targets and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
What we're looking for:
- Available to work Full time Hours, Monday to Friday 8.30am -5.30pm
- Salary is $70K + Salary Packaging + Super 12%
- Willing to obtain Police Check and Working with Children Check (Self funded) and hold valid Drivers Licence.
- High level of resilience and ability to adapt your approach to suit different situations
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Understanding of employment readiness and the steps required to achieve sustainable outcomes
