We are seeking an experienced Certification Engineer with between 3-5 years of relevant industry experience to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of aircraft designs, systems, and components to ensure they meet all applicable regulations and safety requirements.
This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to achieve compliance and maintain the highest levels of safety and quality at HeliMods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of aircraft designs, systems, and components to assess compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with design engineers and other stakeholders to address non-compliance issues and develop effective solutions.
- Work with cross-functional teams to achieve compliance and maintain the highest levels of safety and quality.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of all legislation and regulations, including FAR/CS Parts 23, 25, 27, and 29.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree (or higher) in any relevant engineering discipline, particularly structures, mechanical systems, and electrical systems.
- 3-5 years of relevant aerospace, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering industry experience.
- A strong working knowledge of 3D CAD software, preferably Siemens NX.
- Experience in Product Lifecycle Management software, preferably Siemens Teamcenter.
- Demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive reviews of aircraft designs, systems, and components to assess compliance.

Inherent Requirements:
- Does not have an existing criminal conviction.
- Must meet minimum criteria as set out in CASA Part 21 MOS to be able to be authorised to carry out design activities.
- Due to the nature and privilege of information, and in accordance with Australian Standards for Workforce Screening (ISO 4811-2022), it is an inherent requirement that a security clearance and police check are obtained prior to employment.
