We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aerospace Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at HeliMods, a leading aerospace technology company based on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

The Role

As an Aerospace Design Engineer, you will play a key role in developing digital and physical prototypes using CAD software, creating 3D models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, including developing new products for civil and military clients, building organizational capability, and contributing to the growth of our company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop digital and physical prototypes using CAD software
  • Create 3D models and assemblies for product certification
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
  • Conduct research on technical methods and automated systems to increase quality and productivity
  • Support production teams with design verification and approval

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in aero, space, mechanical, or mechatronic engineering
  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Experience with CAD software (Siemens NX preferred) and Product Lifecycle Management software (Siemens Teamcenter preferred)
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with prototyping and conceptual design

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience
