Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to develop and execute sales strategies for children's lists in the School, Library, and Trade channels.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present compelling sales pitches to both individual clients and larger audiences.

Candidate Profile:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies in core children's sales avenues such as schools, libraries, and specialised trade channels.
  2. Cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders in the education, library, and trade sectors to understand their customers and maximise sales opportunities.
  3. Collaborating with colleagues in marketing and sales to create and deliver dynamic and targeted campaigns.
  4. Managing an existing portfolio of accounts including clubs and fairs, library suppliers, educational suppliers, specialist children's bookshops, and head office accounts.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to present compelling sales pitches to both individual clients and larger audiences.
  • Strong numeracy and commercial acumen, enabling you to assess profitability on a deal-by-deal basis while maintaining accuracy in forecasting and reporting to sales budgets.
