Job Description

Our organization is seeking a Sustainability Specialist to play a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring our sustainability initiatives.

This position will contribute significantly to helping us achieve our sustainability objectives, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and drive long-term value through responsible business practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to sustainability (e.g. greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, waste management, water usage, supply chain metrics).
  • Optimize processes to improve the collection and analysis of sustainability data points and support audit requirements.
  • Prepare internal and external sustainability reports, dashboards, and disclosures, as well as track progress against sustainability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and goals (e.g. Science-based Target Initiative (SBTi) emissions reduction targets).
Sustainability Programme Support:
  • Support the implementation and tracking of sustainability initiatives such as energy efficiency upgrades, waste reduction programs, and sustainable sourcing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to embed sustainability practices into daily operations.
Research & Benchmarking:
  • Monitor emerging trends in sustainability and best practices.
  • Benchmark company performance against industry peers and standards.
Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work collaboratively with departments such as operations, procurement, marketing, and compliance.
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
  • Strong data management skills, including proficiency in Excel (VBM, TCD, Query, Pivot) and experience with advanced tools such as Power BI, Databricks, PySpark, Python, C, SQL, Github, PyTorch, Keras, and Tensorflow.
  • Passion for sustainability and a proactive, solution-driven approach.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in data analysis-related roles.
