Golf Course Maintenance Position

We are seeking an experienced and passionate golf course maintenance professional to lead the presentation and ongoing maintenance and improvements of our golf course.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a high standard of maintenance, providing leadership and direction in on-course developments and improvements, ensuring a safe environment for golfers and staff, and actively contributing to the development and execution of a Course Maintenance Plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementing a high standard of maintenance to ensure the best presentation of the golf course and its immediate environment.
  • Providing leadership and direction in on-course developments and improvements.
  • Ensuring a safe environment for golfers and staff.
  • Actively contributing to the development and execution of a Course Maintenance Plan.
  • Developing course maintenance staff to a high skill level and employing those skills in their day-to-day activity to continually improve productivity and efficient work practices.
  • Ensuring effective management of internal and external resources to deliver course maintenance programs.
Requirements:
  • A team focus, with strong leadership, training, and staff management skills that align with our organisational values.
  • Over 3 years experience as an Assistant Superintendent or currently holding the position of Superintendent at a golf course.
  • Tier 1 experience is highly regarded.
  • Experience and passion for presenting top-class golf course playing conditions.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience with managing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Have a full understanding of all current golf course machinery operations.
  • Relevant Sports Turf Management or Horticultural Trade qualifications.
  • Accreditation in Chemical Applications & Safe Handling.
  • Current Driver's License.
