Maintenance Officer/Gardener Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Officer/Gardener to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to identify areas that require attention and ensure our facilities are always tidy and well-maintained.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform general maintenance and repairs to buildings and infrastructure, including equipment maintenance and adherence to preventative maintenance programs.
  • Horticultural Services: Provide horticultural services, including tree pruning, mowing lawns, edging, fertilizing, and weeding.
  • Garden Maintenance: Clear and remove garden refuse, maintain paths, drains, and edges, and undertake any repair work as required.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all works conducted.
Requirements:
  • Horticultural Knowledge: Desirable - Previous experience and knowledge in horticulture, maintenance, and trade qualifications.
  • Maintenance Experience: Essential - Previous experience in safe operation of ride-on mowers, gardening equipment, and power tools.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
