Job Title: Gardener and Maintenance Professional

This is a unique opportunity to work in a retirement village, providing support to residents and ensuring the site is well-maintained.

The ideal candidate will have experience in horticulture and maintenance, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.

We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the area is tidy and well-maintained.
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs to buildings and infrastructure.
  • Manage an up-to-date inventory of all equipment.
  • Develop and maintain gardens and grounds to maximise seasonal conditions.
  • Prune trees and shrubs.
  • Mow lawns, edge, fertilise, and weed.
  • Remove garden refuse.
  • Maintain paths, drains, and edges.
Requirements:
  • Horticultural knowledge and experience.
  • Maintenance and/or trade qualification.
  • Previous experience in general and commercial maintenance.
  • Experience in operating ride-on mowers, gardening equipment, and power tools safely.
  • Problem-solving skills and a "can-do" attitude.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
