Renewable Energy Career Opportunity

The Head of Development will lead the development of Squadron Energy's NSW & Victorian Renewable Energy business, focusing on wind, solar, and storage opportunities.

The role involves developing a pipeline of investment opportunities, working closely with Windlab and internal resource units, and ensuring timely approvals and stakeholder consultation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing the strategic plan for Squadron Energy's NSW and Victorian Renewable Energy business
  • Identifying renewable energy opportunities through a well-developed network
  • Collaborating with the Project Delivery Team and Windlab to ensure project objectives are met
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders to remove barriers to business objectives
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and statutory responsibilities

Requirements:

  • An Engineering degree in a relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in developing a new business with P&L responsibility
  • Experience in working through the development, construction, and operational phase of energy assets
  • A strong understanding of Australia's energy system and its evolution to renewable energy
  • Commercial experience in the energy sector
