Renewable Energy Project Developer Role Overview

Job Description:

As a key player in our renewable energy project delivery and development team, you will be responsible for coordinating large-scale projects across Australia. Your role will involve interacting closely with various stakeholders, including the Project Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Construction, and Senior Management teams to progress projects forward and expand our portfolio of renowned projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading project teams to achieve financial close and transition into construction phases
  • Negotiating contracts with multiple stakeholders nationwide for renewable energy projects
  • Overseeing expert consultants, reviewing their reports, and ensuring adherence to technical project requirements
  • Collaborating with civil/electrical/mechanical engineers and consultants to guarantee project engineering scopes are met
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and obtaining necessary permits for renewable energy project development
  • Transferring projects from development to construction teams upon achievement of financial close
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project teams, senior management, and external stakeholders
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team
  • A proven understanding of commercial aspects related to renewable energy
  • At least 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development and/or project engineering
  • A degree in a relevant field
