Maintenance Planner

About the role

  • The Maintenance Planner plays a pivotal role in ensuring maximum availability of our equipment fleet in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner by scheduling and planning short to medium maintenance activities according to OEM specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the preparation, presentation, and implementation of project plans and conceptual studies related to maintenance activities.
  • Planning and coordinating monthly, weekly, and daily maintenance scheduling activities as it pertains to mobile plant equipment.
  • Coordinating and scheduling personnel and resources based on maintenance reports to ensure seamless execution.
  • Ensuring full statutory and safety compliance of all maintenance activities.

About you

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar maintenance planning role within open pit hard rock mining is required.
  • Extensive practical knowledge and experience with JDE software is essential.
  • Detailed knowledge of maintenance procedures for large mining mobile plant is necessary.
  • Proven experience in implementing business improvement projects and promoting a culture of continuous learning is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in scheduling servicing and preventative maintenance, estimating repair costs, forecasting, and budgeting recurring repairs while maintaining safety standards is crucial.
