Heavy Diesel Fitters play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • This workshop-based position involves working an 8/6/7/7 roster.
  • Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections on heavy diesel equipment.
  • Diagnose, repair, and refurbish engines and components, primarily on CAT 793F Trucks and CAT 785 Watercarts.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in mining or a transferrable industry with larger sized earthmoving equipment. Knowledge of CAT engines is desirable, experience in maintaining and diagnosing mobile equipment is highly regarded, as well as being team-focused with a strong commitment to safety in the workplace.

To be successful in this role, you will require excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of heavy machinery maintenance and repair principles is essential, as well as the ability to lift and move heavy equipment when required.

As a Heavy Diesel Fitter, you will work closely with a skilled team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our equipment. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on heavy diesel equipment, including engines, transmissions, and other critical systems. Your expertise will also be required to diagnose complex problems and implement effective solutions.
