About the Role

Hastings Deering is seeking a skilled Service Advisor to join our team in a permanent, Monday to Friday role. This position involves working 38 hours per week and requires effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Liaison and Communication: Act as a liaison between the Service Team, customers, and product/mining support representatives, ensuring effective communication on job scope, pricing, and timeframes.
  2. Invoice Management: Facilitate invoice clarity and prompt payment by ensuring accurate and complete parts, labour, miscellaneous charges, and work descriptions before closing.
  3. Record Keeping: Create and maintain records within the Asset Tracker system to ensure accurate tracking of customer and HDAL asset movements.
  4. Customer Requirements: Ensure customer requirements are accurately captured and communicated to the Service team through monitoring, following up, and maintaining high attention to detail.
  5. Performance and Revenue: Understand and implement action plans developed by Service Management to achieve monthly financial performance and revenue targets.

About You

A successful teammate will have the following:

  1. Proven Experience: Proven and demonstrated experience working within a Frontline service department within the heavy mining and construction industries.
  2. Computing Skills: Sound computing skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft AX and Power BI systems.
  3. Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar machinery and a knowledge of products and services.
  4. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Certification: Certification in IV Office/Business Administration or equivalent qualifications or experience is highly desirable.
