About the Role

Ventia, a leading infrastructure services company, is seeking a skilled SHEQ Advisor to join their Defence team. As a SHEQ Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of construction works across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and approve contractor project documentation to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
  • Support the contractor management system to foster a culture of safety and quality.
  • Collaborate with Ventia project officers to ensure construction works meet safety standards.
  • Conduct field inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize risk and drive continuous improvement.
About You
  • Hold a qualification in Workplace/ Occupation Health and Safety, Occupational Hygiene and Health, Environmental or Quality Equivalent.
  • Have formal training in incident investigation (ICAM preferred).
  • Hold a Construction Induction card.
  • Have detailed knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulatory requirements, and ISO standards within a high-risk construction environment.
  • Be an Australian Citizen to meet Defence requirements.
