**Job Title:** Department Leadership PositionJob Description:

The Department Leadership Position is responsible for overseeing the student services department, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment by fostering strong relationships between students, staff, parents, and the community.

This role involves leading a holistic approach to student wellbeing and management, focusing on creating clear pathways of communication and promoting a culture of trust, accountability, and care throughout the school community.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community to positively impact learning outcomes.
  • Assist with enrolment interviews, classing of students, and ensuring consistent engagement and communication that supports each student's personal and behavioural development.
  • Continually promote and reinforce school rules, routines, and procedures that align with PBL and BASOT Frameworks.
  • Support the Deputy Principal in investigating and managing consequences for behaviour and truancy incidents.
  • Ensure uniform standards are met and communicate with parents regarding any issues.
  • Analyse and share year level data to improve attendance, achievement, effort, and behaviour outcomes.
  • Maintain open communication with parents through various forums, providing opportunities for them to share their knowledge, opinions, and concerns.
  • Identify ways to access local community resources and support the program writing of pastoral care lessons.
  • Lead the college's Visible Support process, working collaboratively with support staff to identify at-risk students.
  • Be innovative in helping the cohort develop a growth mindset and own its unique identity.
  • Foster and drive student voice and leadership within the school and wider community.
  • Organise events to celebrate and support student success throughout the schooling year.
